Rebel grew up just as her name implied: rebelliously. She grew up not being too savvy with authority, much less the rules of society. Her parents didn’t even have much control over her as a child, as she delighted in doing whatever she wanted. This personality of hers was born in kindergarten, where Rebel’s teachers were her heaviest influences, ultimately determining what she would become in the future as they taught her things that satisfied themselves rather than teaching her actual important information. Rebel (with her impressionable and malleable young mind) didn’t really question any of this, nor did she realize how ironic her rebellious nature really was, and she took everything her opportunistic teachers said as if it were the gospel truth.Those influences on her early life would only be reinforced when she met Berri The Rabbit in high school, who she took a liking to almost immediately. Rebel was actually the person responsible for helping Berri find her own preferences as she was in a state of confusion about herself, which ultimately led to the two falling in love and starting to date. From high school to adulthood, they would continue to date each other and indulge themselves in their new lives together, joining groups like the Strangers that encouraged their behaviors and adopting values that they began to rely on together.Rebel had also begun to enjoy rock climbing during this time, training constantly and heavily considering making it her competitive career. And so, right before turning 20 and with the loving support of Berri, Rebel joined the International Rock Climbing League (or the IRCL) and entered a broadcasted tournament. Eventually, with pure skill and determination, Rebel managed to win the tournament, skyrocketing her popularity and stardom overnight. After being awarded multiple trophies and awards, Rebel would return home to Berri who celebrated her victory and her 20th birthday with her.Things began to change between Rebel and Berri, however, once the war between the Resistance and the Eggman Empire kicked off. Berri was about to introduce Rebel to her sister and niece when they were both captured by the Eggman Empire and separated in captivity onboard the Death Egg. Much like Berri though, Rebel held on hope that she would be rescued and reunited with her girlfriend, which she eventually was when Spectrum and the Resistance mounted a full-on assault on the Death Egg to rescue Sonic and a few of the other prisoners.Upon reuniting in the depths of the Resistance's HQ, Berri would return to her love as she finally unveiled her internal struggle, with her becoming sorrowful and scarred from what had happened to Cream while they were inside the Death Egg. However, Berri’s resulting abandonment of the Strangers and of the values she once followed, which she did out of disgust as they all reminded her of Robotomized Cream’s creation nearly perfectly, in favor of a crusade to protect the innocence of children greatly confused Rebel. While the two would still be there for each other throughout the war, and even after Robotomized Cream was returned to normal, the tension between Rebel and Berri would only grow as their beliefs (especially their different perceptions on the innocence of children) began to clash frequently (which even results in Berri never letting Rebel meet her aunt and niece like she originally planned). An air of resentment towards Berri would start to grow within Rebel, and that would only solidify when she became jealous of Berri’s friendship with Ginger after she rescued her.

Huriya was born in Shamar, and she would grow up there feeling limited and even oppressed. The region of Shamar, at the time of Huriya’s birth, was consumed by religious tensions that sought to limit women like her; not only was Huriya prevented from finding a real job (especially a job that put her above her Shamarian male colleagues) or was forced to wear clothes that hid her features (just to name a few offenders), but she was threatened to be punished severely by the region’s government should she resist these dictatorial “guidelines.” Needless to say, Huriya felt small and alone as she was growing up… Thankfully though, Huriya was born with a mysterious advantage: she was not only gifted with a perfect singing voice, but she was also given the gift to amplify the emotions of love for those around her to absurd levels with her singing. Though she couldn’t control it as well as a child, Huriya didn’t really have the time or the choice to care, as she started using her talents to earn money.As she matured into a young woman, Huriya’s fame began to grow throughout Shamar, and even throughout the rest of the world; everyone was utterly captivated by her music (mostly because of the love spell she carried though). Some of her Shamarian colleagues were so captivated by her powers that they began to say that she was the goddess Bastet reincarnated, claims which Huriya humbly denied. This connection did intrigue Huriya though, and soon she adopted a stage name for herself (even after delving into her culture’s mythology) that would draw inspiration from other singers she looked up to and one that would play with her new mythological status: Basx.Seeing how famous she was becoming, Basx also used her new notoriety to help her home by using the stage as a platform to advocate for women’s rights in Shamar, hoping to make a future for little girls growing up in the region like she once was. Her messages began to spread like wildfire, which naturally didn’t sit well with the Shamarian government; Basx would soon receive death threats from her elected officials, and would come under fire from some (failed) assassination attempts. Needless to say, Basx’s home was no longer safe, and so she (and her team of managers and stagehands) fled the country to find refuge in others that the Shamarian government could not (easily) touch them in; Basx, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders, never looked back. Despite her newfound freedom, Basx still felt very much alone, as she began to realize that her powers helped others find love, but they didn’t help herself… Now in the west, Basx became determined to find true love for herself, whether it's with or without her powers.

Marina was born around the same time that her sister Amy was, being birthed only a few minutes after the latter, making her the youngest of the twins. As she would grow up into a toddler, Marina’s parents and everyone else around her would notice the difference between her and her sister Amy’s behavior, seeing how she would be more shy while Amy would be more bombastic and cheeky; still, at that stage of her life, Marina was still as playful as her older sister.As Marina grew older (to preschool, then to middle school), her interests would naturally shift (namely and notably towards her interest in the ocean), but she would also start to think a lot more about how others perceived her, eventually finding the things that she loved to be embarrassing. As a result of this thought process, Marina’s fun-loving side would become more and more hidden, with her becoming more and more reserved to compliment her shy nature; naturally, Marina’s parents and everyone else around her wasn’t sure of how to feel about her personality change, and they couldn’t really do much of anything as she seemed to get more and more distant. Regardless of Marina’s “growing pains,” her sister Amy would still love her and treat her with respect and care, like any good sibling would (and should).It was during Marina’s (and Amy’s) middle school years that Amy would become interested in tarot card reading, practicing her skill in the craft everyday after school. One such day after school, Amy would beckon Marina over to practice trying to find her fortune, and she found three (initially) vague readings: Marina would be recognized as a hero, she would be betrayed by a loved one, and she would have a hand in the redemption of another; naturally, Marina (and Amy) didn’t know what these meant.It was then during a family vacation that Marina would find herself walking along the rocks of a beautiful beach, playfully dipping her toes in the water and admiring the ocean wildlife with no one else watching. While there, Marina’s attention was soon captured by an octopus girl named Calypso who was curiously peeking her head above the water, with Marina noticing how she looked like she was the exact same age as her.Intrigued, Marina would quickly strike up a conversation and become fast friends with the octopus girl, during which they would promise to see each other again whenever Marina was at any other beach in the future (and they could achieve this with a special shell that Calypso could hone in on with her echolocation, having given it to Marina as a gift). From that moment on, as both Marina and Calypso grew into young adults, they would visit each other every time Marina would get a chance to go to a beach alone, with Marina soon finding Calypso to be the only person she could truly be open with (even more so than with her own twin sister Amy), thus valuing her as a true friend.As the war between the Eggman Empire and the Resistance would start, Amy would ensure that her family (including Marina) wouldn’t be taken by Eggman himself, so she ensured that they would be hidden away while she helped the Resistance as an analyst. Once the war ended, Marina was flooded with stories of Amy’s heroism and technical prowess, and she secretly began to want to be just like Amy (specifically in terms of her analyst role in the Resistance), so she dedicated her time to expanding her knowledge on technology; needless to say, after some time, Marina would become just as technically gifted as her sister Amy had become.

Deja was born in the distant future to a married Sonic The Hedgehog and Amy Rose, sharing aspects of both of her parents (not only in terms of their looks, but also in terms of their powers). She grew up with her parents being praised as heroes, being given many gifts that led to their family living in a decent amount of luxury; as an unexpected result of this, Deja grew up to very spoiled, never really appreciating her parents’ legacy, despite them trying their hardest to show her the importance of maintaining their story. Deja wouldn’t have any of this, and she would often blow off her family’s wealth at parties and while shopping.One fateful night, Deja was returning home from a party when she stumbled into a hole in the middle of a construction site where a mysterious totem was sticking out of the dirt. Not knowing any better (and just simply not caring), Deja inspected the totem and accidentally activated it, unleashing a green storm-like entity that immediately started consuming anyone else on-site while Deja would run away in fear. After telling her parents about what she saw, while also neglecting to mention how she caused it, they immediately sprung into action, assembling their friends (which even included the future version of Team Spectrum) to fight the storm and protect as many people as they could from it.It was during this time that Deja truly got to see her parents’ legendary heroism for the first time as they saved civilians from the entity and fought it off as best they could, finally gaining an appreciation for their bravery and hoping to make up for her actions by becoming just like them. It was also during this time, however, that it was revealed how the Maelstrom (as it was starting to be referred as at the time) can use the souls of the people it consumes (and therefore kills) as its own army of mindless spirits, which only made Deja feel worse as the friends of her parents died to the entity and became its animalistic puppets one by one; the lack of knowledge on this storm didn’t help get Deja’s (or everyone else’s) hopes up either, with information on it having been lost to time at that point, and not even Silver The Hedgehog (upon him arriving from the past) knew what it was or how to stop it.So as they continued to fight, it slowly started to feel as though that fight was in vain as the destruction and death only worsened worldwide, and even Deja could see that things were not going to improve… Eventually (and unfortunately), most of the world’s population was decimated, and most of Sonic and Amy’s comrades had shared the same fate as that of the population before the two of them soon joined them as well… With only Silver to comfort her at that point, Deja was devastated, realizing that she never truly appreciated her parents and what they had to offer her until they were gone…Everything culminated to the point where Deja and Silver were the last two living beings on the planet, with the rest of the world having been left abandoned and destroyed by the Maelstrom. At the End of Days, Deja was carrying a fatally injured Silver through the debris, away from the approaching Maelstrom and its forces, but it was slow-going… Eventually, Silver had to stop, not having the energy to continue, much to Deja’s dismay and protests… Silver argued that the only way to save the future is to keep that one from ever happening, bestowing his psychokinesis onto Deja before she could question it. Silver then instructed her how to use her speed and his powers to go back in time to the day he traveled to the future for the final time to stop the Maelstrom from ever being found, ultimately planning to destroy it.Deja couldn’t bear to lose anyone else (much less leave them behind to die), but Silver persisted, telling her that she would see him (and everyone else) again soon… With that, Deja finally left Silver behind as his life left his body, just as the Maelstrom finally caught up with him… Deja used her speed and her new psychokinesis at the same time to outrun the Maelstrom, thinking as hard as she could to journey back to the date Silver mentioned. In a matter of moments, her persistence paid off, and she was flung through a dimensional rift summoned by her powers, determined to redeem her family legacy and save the future as she traveled to the past.

Ginger was born into a poor family in the snowy mountains of Holoska, which allowed her to gain a more down-to-earth perspective as she grew up. As a child, the men in her family (her father and older brother) would do work around their igloo, hunting and making repairs to their aforementioned home, all while she and her mother would do chores at home; this was obviously not as much work as the men in her family were doing, so she wasn’t complaining. It was only during a massive snowstorm, however, that Ginger’s igloo was destroyed and she was separated from her family... She would be rescued by a nearby Holoska village, but her family was never found (and thus, they were presumed dead)... Thankfully, the village raised her as one of their own, but the experience left her with a crippling fear of losing anyone else again...She would still keep a sunny personality as she continued to grow up though, and when she became of age, she left Holoska to explore the world. Since she had no real working experience, she would have to find a partner to provide for her, and she would ultimately go through many suitors. It would only be later on when she would meet Berri The Rabbit (along with Spectrum and the rest of Team Spectrum by association). Berri would save her from a violent attack by one of her previous suitors, allowing Ginger to tag along with her friends afterwards, with Spectrum even allowing her to live with him until she could find more permanent housing. However, due to her lack of defense without others, she has become a target for enemies of Berri and Spectrum…

Carey was born to a struggling father and mother, with the mother having an extensive familial history that everyone has completely forgotten. Growing up, her family’s fears of running out of money would start to wane on Carey’s mind more and more as she took part in school and the social areas surrounding it. This continued until Carey’s father suddenly died from a crippling disease, leaving her and her mother without their final crutch against being poor… As their funds began dwindling quickly, Carey was forced to quit high school and take odd jobs around Sunset City, eventually landing a job as a cook in the Whole Zone for a Priscilla The Orchid Mantis.After the war between the Resistance and the Eggman Empire ended and the world resumed its normal functions, Carey would go back to work at the Whole Zone as usual too, but with her now admiring Team Spectrum, who saved the entire world alongside Sonic and his friends, as well as now being a full-fledged legal adult. The day before she returned to work, Carey and her mother celebrated her 18th birthday with a single present: a necklace that was a family heirloom, but the reasons why that is the case were lost to time. The next day, as Carey tried to get through a shift at the Whole Zone, she discovered that she now had magical powers (as they disrupted her work), which she became excited about behind closed doors, knowing she could use this to finally be as great as Team Spectrum.So for the next few weeks, Carey secretly tried to control her powers, and even tried to use them to make her family rich at one point, which all culminated with her having a vision while sleeping one night. In her vision, she was approached by the apparition of Merlina The Wizard, revealing herself to be her distant ancestor. Merlina explained to Carey that she comes from an entire bloodline of wizards that had started with her, but their control over the High Ancient Magic has dwindled with each generation; with Carey being the latest in Merlina’s bloodline, she now can only channel her powers through her necklace, which Merlina reveals to have been made from the fragments of her own Staff. Merlina, in conclusion, says that she won’t be able to help Carey any further outside of this vision, so she urges her to use her powers responsibly and for the greater good of others instead of how she used them… Carey is confused by what Merlina means, but she doesn’t elaborate on this before the vision ends. Carey, now understanding the gravity of her situation, resolves to do as Merlina wished her to do, while also resolving to look into her family history to learn more about Merlina.

After the death of his granddaughter Maria, and during his own imprisonment, Dr. Gerald Robotnik built Audrey as a way to cope with her death (though, it didn’t help much). Using the materials G.U.N. provided to him for his experiments on Prison Island, he was able to make Audrey, who was a powerful synthetic android capable of growing and aging on her own, as well as being able to experience emotions and have desires. Gerald would manage to keep Audrey a secret as she developed and as his own mental state slowly deteriorated, despite her presence; as she would grow bit by bit, Audrey would be there to comfort and learn from Gerald in spite of his regressing state. Eventually, when it was time for Dr. Gerald to be executed, he returned Audrey’s kindness and gave her the tools to escape the prison, as well as deactivated her and erased major parts of her memory so she could start a new life. Upon her reactivation, only remembering her name and not what she is, Audrey managed to escape the island, journeying out into the world.For a long time, she would wander from town to town, eventually being found by the family of a young Spectrum The Hedgehog, who would quickly adopt her while never suspecting she is a robot. As she would mature into a young woman along with Spectrum maturing into a young man, the two siblings would become very close with each other. When Eggman would begin his conquest of the planet, however, Audrey was one of many who were kidnapped and held on the newly rebuilt Death Egg. Eggman would quickly discover that Audrey was a robot created by his grandfather, much to Audrey’s horror, and he would start upgrading her weapons systems and unlocking her memories in the hopes of turning her into the ultimate Badnik. Thankfully though, Spectrum and the Resistance would manage to free her along with many others during their rescue mission to bring back Sonic, but Audrey was still traumatized by the revelations she went through and would soon tell Spectrum about her being a robot. Spectrum would comfort Audrey, but would also elect not to tell anyone else about her condition, not wanting to cause panic and not wanting people to distance themselves from her; naturally, Audrey agreed.

Born and raised in a rich family, Rowdi was known to fully embrace her childhood, even into adulthood. She would always see the world through the eyes of a child, which also included childish tendencies. She was also known to be very energetic too, which she would always apply to music. Despite these traits, she could take care of herself though, for the most part, which was what she did when she eventually moved out and lived on her own.Eventually, she would help form the band known as the Strays, where she would mostly play their drums, and her family would support the band financially. And although the Strays haven’t gotten much success yet, Rowdi would grow very attached to her bandmates, considering them like sisters; sisters who could be annoyed by her childish nature at times, but still enjoy the energy she brings to their group.

Kama was born into an abusive family, and her early childhood with them shaped her future for the worst. Constantly torn down for her dreams of becoming a musician prodigy by her parents, Kama would become more reserved, not willing to open up to anyone. This attitude and personality stuck with her for the rest of her life, even after she was removed from her biological family and into an adoptive one. Her new family was more supportive of her dreams (which they figured out little by little), and did everything they could to support her and fulfill her dreams. She appreciated this, of course, but couldn't really show it.Eventually, she would meet Serena The Hedgehog (and eventually Rowdi The Siamese Cat), who would quickly befriend her and start their band with her: the Strays. As much as she loved her new friends and the opportunities her band gave her, she would find herself having creative differences with Serena, as she couldn't communicate her thoughts properly; those instances, however, would defuse and resolve themselves shortly afterward, of course.After the war between the Resistance and the Eggman Empire, and notably after meeting Spectrum The Hedgehog, Spectrum's sister Audrey would join the Strays as their violin/bass/horn player, as well as their social media manager. Kama and Audrey became quick friends, as Audrey was more sympathetic to Kama's struggles. As their friendship grew, Kama would start to grow out of her reserved shell little by little.

Priscilla was born in Chun-nan to Asa The Praying Mantis, the most renowned martial artist in the region. As Asa’s only daughter, he intended to train Priscilla in his ninjutsu, in the hopes that she’ll continue his legacy. Priscilla, on the other hand, wanted to forge her own legacy (due to her father pushing her in her training and straining their relationship, along with having been misled by a fellow student), so right before her training was complete, she left her father’s dojo and the country. She would settle down in modern society to lend her ninjutsu skills towards hired thievery and espionage, all while starting her own bar known as “the Whole Zone” as a cover and day job.She would quickly start a cycle of thieving and spying while working in her bar as a cover, and that cycle would remain unchanged up until the Eggman Empire began its campaign to conquer the world. Priscilla was one of many people taken captive and held on the Death Egg, as well as being one of many who were tortured by Eggman there. During her time of torture, she had her wings clipped… Thankfully, Spectrum and the Resistance freed everyone onboard the Death Egg during a mission to rescue Sonic, but she was still very insecure about her wings being amputated; she felt as though she couldn’t effectively do jobs without them. Despite his annoyance towards Priscilla’s beauty complex, it would ultimately take Spectrum to get Priscilla out of her shell and out of her insecurity. Out of gratitude, Priscilla would aid Spectrum throughout the rest of the war, and offer her services to him and his friends afterward.After the war, Priscilla would get back to her regular grind, now without her wings. Still thinking she needs a boost to bounce back after her wings were removed, she is considering returning to her father in order to complete her training…

At the beginning of time, Tumult was created by the Beginning, along with the other Guardian Spirits, to guard and power the Chaos Emeralds. Out of all the other spirits, Tumult’s loyalty to the Beginning knew no bounds (the other spirits were still loyal, of course), constantly eager to fulfill the wishes of his creator; an attitude that would serve him, the Beginning, and the rest of Creation well in the wars against the End.Tumult would also grow an appreciation for the Beginning’s creations themselves (the Mobians, in particular); so much so that he would take on a form similar to theirs. Tumult’s devotion to the Beginning, however, would change after an agent of the End took the Beginning’s place and trapped Tumult (along with the other guardian spirits) in the Chaos Emeralds. Believing the Beginning actually betrayed him, Tumult would ultimately remain trapped in his Emerald for eons, going into a deep hibernation, while his life force still provided the Chaos Emerald with power.Tumult would finally be reawakened by the Resistance, just after Shadow had saved Sonic from a phantom of himself. Not realizing how the cultures have advanced, Tumult was on edge at first; he would, however, calm down after being wrangled by Spectrum The Hedgehog and his friends. After processing everything, he would explain to the Resistance how he was created to guard and power his Chaos Emerald and he would also warn them of the Beginning, still believing he turned evil, unsure of what damage he could cause. The Resistance, understandably, was concerned about this threat, but they had to take care of the Eggman Empire occupying their planet first. So Tumult joined their efforts, and grew quite fond of Team Spectrum; eventually joining them after the war was over.

Berri, along with Vanilla, both grew up in a loving family on a decent ranch. As children, Berri and Vanilla were the best of friends, even with Vanilla being older than her. Eventually, further into her childhood, Berri would meet Spectrum and his sister Audrey, and the three of them would also become best friends; a relationship that hasn't changed as they grew up together. When Vanilla would grow up and move out though, Berri would be taken under her father’s wing and be taught to fight, what with him being a former boxing champion.After her father died and she (along with Spectrum and Audrey) would start attending high school, Berri would meet Rebel The Hedgehog, who took a liking to the rabbit almost immediately. Throughout their first school year together, Rebel would constantly fluster Berri in an attempt to become her girlfriend, which greatly confused the young Berri at the time; eventually though (during a school dance), once they were all alone, Berri finally cracked and gave into Rebel’s flustering, and the two would start dating shortly after. From there, her relationship with Rebel’s was all she could think about, with it even nearly messing up her grades (though she would fix that up before graduation); her friends initially didn’t know how to feel about this change in Berri’s life, but over time, they came to accept it and think nothing of it.When the Eggman Empire would start to take over the world, Berri would be captured and held on the Death Egg, along with the rest of Spectrum's friends (present and future) and her own family... Eggman would quickly discover this connection, and would soon start attempting to psychologically torture Berri and Vanilla by brainwashing Cream... Despite this (and despite the feeling of sorrow that came from this), while everyone around Berri would slowly lose hope as the months went by on the Death Egg, Berri would hold strong and keep hoping that Spectrum would save her and everyone else; which Spectrum eventually would while on a mission to save Sonic. After Sonic was rescued, Berri would start joining Spectrum on missions more often, willing to help him throughout the war. Thankfully, Team Spectrum would eventually rescue Cream and bring her back to the Resistance, where they would quickly and completely recover Cream's memories, returning her to normal. When the war ended, and the Resistance disbanded, Berri would join Spectrum on his own journeys, wanting to be there for her best friend; unofficially becoming Spectrum's sidekick in the process.

Serena grew up singing for most of her life, and decided to make it her profession once she was old enough to strike out on her own. She became the lead singer of her own little band, the Strays, traveling worldwide and making enough money to make ends meet. The little success didn’t really matter as much to Serena, she just wanted to share her gift with the world.This attitude was spoiled when Eggman attacked Sunset City during a performance, taking her and her band hostage. She was held prisoner on the Death Egg; that is until Spectrum and the Resistance broke in to save Sonic (and as many prisoners as they could). When Spectrum rescued Serena, she could immediately feel a spark between them (even if Spectrum didn’t at the time). From that point on, even though she couldn’t fight, she would always cheer Spectrum on from the sidelines.

Drake was once a world-famous Mobian boxer (starting at age 25), having held the title of IBL Champion multiple times in his career; given the nickname “the Dragon” as a sign of his ferocity, he was known for rarely taking a punch from his opponents (being fast enough to where he could avoid most of their attacks easily), along with his massive mustache. Not much is known about his past, aside from his childhood taking place on a ranch, which he would constantly admit to miss, and that he had a loyal high school sweetheart.His career would come to an unexpected and unfortunate end (by age 30), however, when another famous boxer, Phoebus The Lion, challenged him to a fight out of jealousy. Drake reluctantly agreed, but their televised fight ended in tragedy when he accidentally killed Phoebus during their intense brawl, in front of their audience and even Phoebus' own wide-eyed and now-traumatized son…While the authorities and the fans understood that this was unintentional, with his career not being in jeopardy as a result, Drake’s thoughts said different, and the guilt of this unintended killing consumed him to the point where he publicly retired shortly afterwards, while not telling anyone of his new whereabouts… Drake put up his gloves and finally settled down with his girlfriend (who had stayed with him throughout the entire ordeal), building them a ranch to live and raise a family in (only having children years after they originally moved in though, at ages 35 for Vanilla and 48 for Berri) like he had always wanted; despite Drake’s past and the reservedness he gained from it, this new family was happy and full of love.By the time Vanilla came of age and moved out, Drake (at age 55) could see that Berri was not taking the separation from her sister well, so he decided to teach her the ropes of boxing to keep her occupied (while also seeing her as an opportunity for his own redemption, wanting to ensure that Berri wouldn't make the same mistakes he did). Berri was very into this, and over the course of years, with just as many accomplishments as there were setbacks, Drake would continue to train Berri until she was a teenager and battle-ready while he would become older and out of his prime (at age 60)…Eventually, some time after Berri completed her training and right before she would start high school, Drake would fall ill and soon join his (already deceased) wife in paradise…

Christina was an ordinary (Red Wolf) woman who had big dreams of becoming a famous reporter, ever since she was a little girl; she worked hard for this dream job of hers, and all of that would pay off when her application got accepted by MNN (on her 20th birthday, as a matter of fact). On her way to her first day on the job though, Christina was intercepted and abducted by Lamia The Constrictor, who took her under her wing via brainwashing; Lamia wanted another way to sow chaos, especially with Team Spectrum (as they were starting to gain more notoriety), and she figured that fake news would be an interesting way to do it, so she planned to kidnap a random reporter and use her as her puppet in this task. So just like that, Christina’s determined and hard-working attitude was replaced by a dishonest and dim one, taking on a new name: “Cozbi.”From there, this new duo would get into a loop where Cozbi would be briefed on who to cover and what exactly to do and say about them by Lamia (being given very specific, and oftentimes private, information about her targets, thanks to Lamia’s spying), and they would relish in the chaos that ensued; most of the time, Cozbi covers Team Spectrum (as Lamia originally planned), and while they can get confused and somewhat annoyed by Cozbi’s accusations (especially with how she is able to know some of their secrets), conflict mostly arises from the public believing her stories (which they do very easily, by the way) and attacking Team Spectrum because of them.

In Sonic Forces, the Eggman Empire began gaining dominance across the world after Dr. Eggman's right-hand man, Infinite, seemingly killed Sonic the Hedgehog. At some point during the next six months of war between the Eggman Empire and the Resistance, Vi was trapped in Sunset City, until Spectrum was sent to the city by Knuckles to rescue civilians from an attack from Eggman's army (as Sonic and Silver were unable to do so themselves as they were still recovering from an earlier fight with Infinite). Having rescued Vi from Badniks, he quickly grew an attachment to Spectrum and proceeded to follow him everywhere; with Spectrum himself only officially allowing him to tag along after being annoyed by this clinginess and by how cute Vi was. After that rescue mission in Sunset City, Spectrum and Vi would return to the Resistance, earning a ton of praise for the success of that mission, and Spectrum in particular being rewarded with a new weapon: a Void Wispon, allowing Vi to help Spectrum with his Hyper-go-ons.Vi would remain with Spectrum all the way through the war, even up until the Resistance set out to clean up the mess Eggman had left the world in; with the Resistance disbanding afterward. Feeling that there were people out there who would need their help, Spectrum took his leave, now having grown into a confident hero. After bidding farewell to Sonic when the hedgehog decided to leave, Spectrum left with Vi and his other companions in pursuit of new adventures (hoping to one day become a normal Wisp).

Backstory

In Sonic Forces, the Eggman Empire began gaining dominance across the world after Dr. Eggman's right-hand man, Infinite, seemingly killed Sonic the Hedgehog. At some point during the next six months of war between the Eggman Empire and the Resistance, Spectrum began working for the Resistance.Being too afraid to fight on the front lines, Spectrum took up look-out duty in Sunset City. When Team Chaotix arrived, Spectrum observed their organization of the city's defenses for the next few days. When he considered quitting the fight however, he had to alert the city to an attack from Dr. Eggman and his legion of Egg Pawns. With the Chaotix needing aid with the defenses, Spectrum rushed in, hoping to be of use. However, he could not do any good. When the Egg Pawns then broke through the defenses, Spectrum hid, too afraid to fight. When the Chaotix needed to take down the Egg Pawns' battleship however, Spectrum, seeing a way to help without fighting, grabbed a bomb and fired it, hitting the Egg Pawns' battleship with a shot that crippled it enough to force Eggman to retreat, vowing revenge. After that, Spectrum was congratulated for his efforts by the Chaotix.From then on, he promised to do more and become a real hero. Later on, Spectrum and his squadron (the future members of Team Spectrum) got attacked by Infinite, the commander of the Eggman Army, who seemingly disposed of all Spectrum's comrades in the squad, leaving only him left. Spectrum tried standing against Infinite despite his anxiety and doubt, but Infinite saw through his facade. Wanting to relish in his fear, Infinite allowed the frightened Spectrum to live if he ran away in fear (which he did). Eventually making it to the Resistance's HQ in one piece, he joined the Resistance after a couple of months, in spite of the terrified tension among the population. After being introduced to the members, he received a Burst Wispon from Knuckles.After a few more months of working for the Resistance, Spectrum helped steal an Eggman Fleet Space Shuttle to reach Sonic with (who turned out to be imprisoned on the rebuilt Death Egg). After that, he joined the Resistance on their rescue mission. On board the Death Egg, Spectrum ended up on the best route to Sonic, which led to Sonic's release from imprisonment. On the way, he found his comrades all in their own cells, learning they managed to escape Infinite, but were later caught by Eggman and his badniks. He helped them all escape, but his fear nearly got the better of him though when Egg Pawns swarmed him. After Sonic saved him though, they all returned home in the Shuttle. Although his cowardice during the rescue did not sit well with the Resistance, Spectrum was nonetheless given the opportunity to work alongside Sonic when he took on Eggman's weapon factory to destroy the source of Eggman's munitions.After the attack, Spectrum was sent by Knuckles to rescue civilians from an attack from Eggman's army (as Sonic and Silver were unable to do so themselves as they were still recovering from an earlier fight with Infinite). Having grown more skilled, Having grown more skilled, he, with his now geared-up team of comrades, were able to help make the enemy forces retreat, earning them all praise from the Resistance; Spectrum even rescued his future Wisp friend Vi during the mission, which led to him being rewarded with a new weapon: a Void Wispon.Soon after, Spectrum and Vi were sent on a solo mission to investigate some readings in Mystic Jungle, around the area where Sonic and Silver fought Infinite earlier. There, they found a Phantom Ruby prototype. They also found Tails and Classic Sonic (who were presently trying to find Sonic themselves), who were brought to the Resistance and revealed that Eggman would have a plan for wiping out the Resistance ready in three days.Gathering up his courage, Spectrum stands ready to face Infinite. When Operation Big Wave began, Spectrum and his friends joined the Resistance's attack on Metropolis. However, when Infinite turned the fight around with the Phantom Ruby (the Eggman Empire's secret weapon), Spectrum and the Resistance scrambled to retreat. Along the way, he met Infinite, who tried intimidating him. Remembering Sonic's encouraging words however, Spectrum found the courage to fight Infinite. During the fight, Spectrum's Phantom Ruby prototype gave him some protection from Infinite. Once again though, Infinite allowed Spectrum to live so he could swelter in fear, knowing that Eggman would ultimately crush the Resistance in two days. Separated from the Resistance, Spectrum tried to catch up with them and escape Metropolis when he was saved by Whisper the Wolf. After chasing after her just to thank her, she left, but not before leaving an indication that she will help him out in later events. After all of that, Spectrum joined back up with the Resistance and joined Sonic on a mission to defeat a phantom Metal Sonic. After handling the replica, Spectrum and Sonic marked their victory with a fist bump.When the heroes then needed to destroy the Phantom Ruby's power source in order to weaken the weapon, Spectrum and Vi provided a distraction for Eggman's forces at Guardian Rock while the Resistance destroyed the power source. Joining the Resistance and his friends in an attack on Eggman back in Metropolis, during which he and Team Spectrum rescued Cream The Rabbit and the Resistance learned that the Phantom Ruby had another power source underneath the Eggman Empire Fortress, Spectrum tried to save Sonic when he was being pulled into Null Space, only to get pulled in with him. However, the two broke out and rejoined the Resistance. Although the duo managed to track down Eggman and Infinite, the two villains promptly retreated to the Eggman Empire Fortress in order to begin Eggman's endgame.Having less than an hour left before Eggman's endgame, Spectrum and the Resistance confronted the Eggman Army at the Eggman Empire Fortress in an attempt to reach and stop the Phantom Ruby's power source. During the fight, E-123 Omega came to the aid of Spectrum and co. It was then that Eggman had Infinite execute his endgame; using the Phantom Ruby's power, Infinite created a sun to drop on the Resistance. As the sun fell however, Tails noticed Spectrum's Phantom Ruby prototype and deduced that they could use it to neutralize the sun. Since the prototype's design only let Spectrum use it, he made his way to the sun, with the help of Whisper the Wolf, and wiped it out, giving the Resistance a fighting chance.After being helped back on his feet by Tails, Spectrum joined Sonic when he fought Infinite, and together they beat him for good, which resulted in Infinite vanishing into thin air. Warned by Eggman that it was not over however, the duo then made their way to the Phantom Ruby's power source and destroyed it, seemingly winning the war.After rejoining their friends however, Eggman revealed that the power source was a decoy and that the real Phantom Ruby had been incorporated into his trump card: the Death Egg Robot. With the Eggman Army on the rise, thanks to the Ruby, Spectrum, Sonic and Classic Sonic fought Eggman. Destroying the robot, the trio ensured the Resistance's victory over the Eggman Empire.In the aftermath, Spectrum and the rest of the Resistance bid farewell to Classic Sonic, whose return to his dimension was imminent with the Phantom Ruby now gone. Spectrum and the Resistance then set out to clean up the mess Eggman had left the world in. When they were done, the Resistance disbanded. Feeling that there were people out there who would need his help, Spectrum took his leave, now having grown into a confident hero. After bidding farewell to Sonic when the hedgehog decided to leave too, Spectrum left with Vi and his other companions in pursuit of new adventures.

*Yeah, it is essentially just Forces' storyline, but that's sort of the point. Spectrum in this AU is essentially the Rookie. Also, apologizes for the backstory being so long...
